TradieLoop is built so neither side has to take the other on trust. Here's exactly what happens from the first offer to the money landing.
Pick a tradie from a job or their profile and send the terms — date, day rate, overtime if it's likely. No money moves yet.
The tradie gets a push and SMS. Accept, counter the terms, or decline. If they're unavailable, the builder is told straight away so they can pick someone else.
On accept, the builder pays the tradie's rate plus a 10% TradieLoop admin fee through Stripe. The tradie's money is held in escrow — they can see the job is funded, but nobody can touch it. Tradies always receive the full advertised rate.
Big day? Either side ticks "we're working overtime", agrees the hours and hourly rate, and the other confirms. It's added to the day's settlement.
Both parties tick the end-of-day form. Both ticks → payment releases to the tradie. If the tradie doesn't respond, it auto-releases 72 hours after the builder's tick.
No-show or a problem flagged on the EOD form? Funds stay held while TradieLoop reviews, and the builder is refunded in full if it's upheld.
TradieLoop never holds your card details. Payments, escrow and payouts run on Stripe — the same rails used by Xero, Shopify and Bunnings Marketplace. Tradies are paid to their own Stripe account.
Builders can pay with Visa, Mastercard or Amex and keep earning points on every booking. Tradies get paid out directly — no chasing invoices.
Both sides rate each other after every job. Late cancellations (under 48 hours) and no-shows automatically add a 1-star penalty. Genuine emergencies can be appealed and waived by our team.
Two no-shows and an account is blacklisted. Repeated late cancellations, fake reviews or payment abuse get accounts suspended. Every account must hold an active ABN, and tradies must pass Stripe identity checks before they're paid.
Every account needs an active ABN. Tradies also complete Stripe identity checks before their first payout.
